យោងតាមការបង្ហោះផ្សាយនៅក្នុងបណ្ដាញសង្គមរបស់ក្រសួងការពារជាតិបានឲ្យដឹងថា លោកជំទាវឧត្តមសេនីយ៍ឯក ម៉ាលី សុជាតា អ្នកនាំពាក្យក្រសួងការពារជាតិ បានបញ្ជាក់ថា យោធាថៃបានបើកការបាញ់ប្រហារមកលើប្រជាពលរដ្ឋខ្មែរ នៅលើកទី១៖ វេលាម៉ោងប្រមាណ ១៥:៥០នាទី និងវេលាម៉ោង ១៧:៥៤នាទីល្ងាច ក្រុមយោធាថៃបានបើកការបាញ់ប្រហារសាជាថ្មីនិងកំពុងបន្តបាញ់ប្រហារមកលើប្រជាជនកម្ពុជា មកទល់ពេលនេះនៅបន្តធ្វើសកម្មភាពយោធានៅឡើយ នៅក្នុងភូមិព្រៃចាន់ ឃុំអូរបីជាន់ ស្រុកអូរជ្រៅ ខេត្តបន្ទាយមានជ័យ ដែលយោងតាមព័ត៌មានបឋមពីអាជ្ញាធរមូលដ្ឋាន បង្កការរបួសជនស៊ីវិលចំនួន ០៣ រូប និងចំនួន ០១រូបបានទទួលមរណភាព។

ការបើកការវាយប្រហារនេះធ្វើឡើងបន្ទាប់ពីយោធាថៃបានធ្វើសកម្មភាពបង្កហេតុជាច្រើនរាប់មិនអស់ច្រើនថ្ងៃមកហើយ ក្នុងចេតនាញុះញង់ដើម្បីនាំដល់ការប៉ះទង្គិចគ្នា។

នៅក្នុងហេតុការណ៍ខាងលើ កងកម្លាំង និងអាជ្ញាធរមានសមត្ថកិច្ចចម្រុះរបស់កម្ពុជា ដែលមិនប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធ ក៏មានវត្តមាននៅទីកន្លែងកើតហេតុនោះផងដែរ ដើម្បីការពារសុវត្ថិភាព ជូនបងប្អូនប្រជាពលរដ្ឋយើង ដោយប្រកាន់ខ្ជាប់បំផុតនូវការគោរព និងការអនុវត្តបទឈប់បាញ់និងសេចក្តីថ្លែងការណ៍រួមស្តីពីកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងសន្តិភាពរវាងកម្ពុជានិងថៃ រួមទាំងគោលការណ៍ដែលបានឯកភាពគ្នា រវាងភាគីកម្ពុជា-ថៃ ដោយឈរលើមូលដ្ឋាននៃការដោះស្រាយ រាល់បញ្ហាដោយសន្តិវិធី ត្រឹមត្រូវ និងស្របតាមច្បាប់អន្តរជាតិ៕

Her Excellency Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, Under Secretary of State and the Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence, would like to inform the general public, both national and international media outlets, concerning the situation along the Cambodia-Thailand border as follows:

At approximately 03:50 PM, Thai troops opened fire on Cambodian civilians residing in the area of Prey Chan Village, O’ Bei Choan Commune, O’ Chrov District, Banteay Meanchey Province. The attack resumed at 05:54 PM and continues with their military activities up until now.

According to the primary information from the local authority, 3 civilians were injured and 1 death. It should be noted that this attack occurred after the Thai forces engaged in numerous provocative actions for many days with the objective of instigating confrontations.

During the above incident, our Cambodian forces and relevant authorities—unarmed and stationed in the area—were also present to ensure the safety of Cambodian citizens. Both our forces and authorities strictly adhere to the ceasefire agreement, the Joint Declaration, as well as previous agreements reached by both Cambodia and Thailand, and are fully committed to resolving the issue peacefully and in accordance with international law.
