Senate President Urges Public’s Contribution to Support Border Troops via CTN Foundation
AKP Phnom Penh, June 11, 2025 –Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has called on all Cambodians to contribute to the CTN Foundation to support troops stationed along the nation’s borders.
In a social media post on the evening of June 11, 2025, Samdech Techo announced the official launch of the CTN Foundation to Support the National Border Troops, which was initiated through a live broadcast on CTN Television.
He expressed gratitude to Neak Oknha Kith Meng, President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, and his spouse for establishing the programme at his request.
“This foundation represents a strong national defence effort by our people,” he wrote. “The struggle against Thai aggression—whether through military, political, diplomatic, or legal means—must be approached as a long-term strategy. The military must remain in a constant state of readiness, while the legal process through the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague will be a lengthy one.”
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also announced that he and his wife would contribute 300 million Riel (approximately US$75,000) as an initial donation to the foundation.
“Dear fellow citizens, I urge you all to join in this effort—to connect with our army, our nation, and our land,” he concluded.
